About Me
I'm an artist, an architect, curious, thoughtful, and argumentative when necessary. I like to challenge myself, dare, experiment, and research. Art has accompanied me my whole life, because it's only through art that we challenge ourselves, make mistakes, laugh, grow, and improve. Thia Path is my stage name, which I invented to call the new person that was born within me and that I discovered little by little as I painted.

My story
Thia Path is my stage name, reflecting a profound personal transformation thanks to an encounter with Mark Rothko's work in 2001. A name that combines my passion for play and fun with my grandchildren (Tia Pat in Spanish), adding the letter h in homage to my teacher who introduced me to the tremendous power of color. I paint primarily in abstract expressionism, which is just a fancy way of saying that I use painting to communicate what I might otherwise have no words for...
From Argentina to Italy
Born and raised in Argentina, after graduating in architecture, I moved to Urbino, Italy, at 23, thanks to a scholarship to study renewable energy. I later moved to Rome to work in various research institutions and environmental organizations. Since childhood, however, I have been drawn to every form of art: from singing to ceramics, from theater to dance, from writing to architecture. I didn't know that one day art would become my second profession; today, in fact, I work as a painter and teacher in schools.
Architecture, exploration and creativity
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to complete numerous projects, including the construction of zero-emission buildings and winning several architectural competitions. I've taught Sustainable Architecture at the universities of Rome, Milan, and Maputo, and I've collaborated with two important environmental associations, ISES and Kyoto Club. I've also published short stories and a book dedicated to the largest building in Piacenza, the city I moved to in 2012.
Traveling, walking, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends have always been some of my great passions.
Welcome to my studio
Today, in my colorful studio in Piacenza, I dedicate myself entirely to art. I work primarily on canvas, paper, or cardboard with acrylic, oil, wax crayons, chalk, and ink, but I also use other materials. I love creating colors and letting myself go. In my studio, you'll find my works, some figurative, which tell moments and stories in imaginary landscapes, others abstract, where the contrast and dialogue between colors gives the work its own light, inviting you to lose yourself in them. Works that can brighten your living and working spaces, making them lively, energetic, different, and new!
